costs will be ?
Price depends on a number of variables like quantity, design type,
make specification and fabric quality, so we would normally cover
these points to provide you with the most accurate and competitive
price.
However, to help plan your budget, the following selection of tie
prices should give an idea of the likely costs involved but please
contact us about your specific requirements
on ties and our other products.
Guide prices are per garment, exclusive of VAT and INCLUDE THE
ONE OFF SET UP COSTS (where applicable), pre bulk production
"proof" sampling, individual sleeving and UK mainland
delivery and are in 100% Polyester, Jacquard
woven fabric unless otherwise shown."

What are the minimum order
quantities ?
This depends on the weaver/printers production minimums.
For instance, on Jacquard woven fabric, ties with logos or special
designs are available from approx. 50 ties upwards, or from 15 sets
upwards on waist coat & bow "sets".
For printed designs, the minimum production run is approx. 50 ties
or scarves.
Please contact us for minimums on other garment types.
What are the lead times ?
From agreement of a design, we produce proof sampling, which takes
about 2 working weeks on woven designs or 3-4 working weeks for
printed designs.
Bulk garments are normally dispatched about 4 weeks from proof
confirmation.
How would my logo / crest be put
onto a tie or scarf ?
In general terms, we use either Jacquard
woven fabric, where all the design detail is woven into the fabric
on loom, then made up into garments.
Or table
printing, with the design being built up colour by colour onto
white fabric, then made up into garments.
We do not use the lower quality methods of over printing or embroidering
onto finished garments.
What fabrics are available ?
In Jacquard woven fabric, we offer standard 100% Polyester or
a higher quality "Ultrafine/Comme Soi" 100% Polyester, which has
a softer, richer feel than standard 100% Polyester and helps with
fine detail in complex designs.
• The next quality up is "Silk faced" or Silk/Polyester fabric,
where the yarn on the front of the fabric is Silk, with the Polyester
content being in the hidden reverse of the fabric. This gives all
the advantages of 100% Silk such as the lovely fabric handle but
at an even more affordable price.
• Top of the range is 100% Silk, which gives a truly top quality
tie.
• In printed fabrics, we offer 100% Silk & 100% Polyester
in a range of weights and weaves.
Each fabric quality is complimented with a suitable high quality
"retail" make specification, to give a quality tie.
How long has TDC been going and
who are its customers ?
Over the last 14 years, TDC has provided it's comprehensive, design
to delivery service to thousands of satisfied client's, ranging
from local clubs, associations and businesses, to national names
like British Airways & Cornhill Insurance, all of whom have appreciated
our uniquely personal service.
Can I wash my TDC ties ?
All our garments carry care instructions (mostly dry clean).
However the 100% Polyester garments can generally be hand washed
but please check before you do so!
How do I start the process to have
my own logo/design garments produced ?
Contact David Taylor to discuss your
requirements, then working with your logo, colours and design types,
we present initial ideas, then CAD
sketches to finalise a design prior to pre production "proof"
sampling. .
What about clip ties and bows ?
For security staff, delivery drivers, service staff or in any situation
subject to Health And Safety regulations, clip
ties, bows
& cravats provide the smart, safe solution for both male &
female staff wear.
Garments can be in plain colours, use the same fabric as your ties
or any suitable fabric but are subject to make/fabric minimums.
Do you do mens cravats ?
Yes ! they can be produced either as part of a tie or waist coat
(etc.) order or (subject to fabric minimums), as a stand alone order
in our normal range of fabrics. ( picture

What sort of scarves do you do
?
We produce a range of sizes in both square & oblong printed
scarf formats, together with woven
or knitted scarves, from the traditional knitted Acrylic Football
scarves, to the classic (all Wool) striped
"University scarf".

What sizes are tie & waist coats
?
On ties, we use a current "High Street" blade width of 9.5 cms
x 56"length with other sizes (youth etc.) as required.
Waist coats are produced in 30"- 58" chest sizes or dress sizes
8-20. Our standard bow ties adjust from a 15"-18", with greater
adjustment available on request.
Can I see quality samples ?
Yes, once we know you specific requirements, we will gladly send
you suitable quality samples from our extensive "back catalogue"
of produced garments.
Or if preferred, we can e-mail you a selection of high quality
digital photographs of the type of garments you are interested in.
How can I send you my design ideas
or details ?
You can send me a digital photo, scanned image or simply put it
